Concierge medicine is a healthcare model where patients pay a, monthly, bi-monthly, or annual fee or retainer directly to their physician or medical practice (1). In return, they receive enhanced access to their healthcare provider, including same-day or next-day appointments, longer consultation times, and direct communication via phone or email (2).

This model allows doctors to spend more time with each individual, providing more personalized and attentive care2. It often includes services like home visits, coordination of specialist referrals, and minimal waiting times (2).
